Drawing poppy technique One Stroke (“Painting tray poppies”)

By popular demand, I made a detailed master class in painting One stroke for my last master class “Painting tray poppies.”

I tried to capture it in stages, as I draw poppies in this wonderful technique of double brushstroke. Technology beautiful and fast so learns to paint in it a lot of fun. I recommend to anyone who wants to learn, definitely try!

So, let’s begin!

For the image, we poppy

1. The flat brushes of different sizes, for example, №16 and number 10 (for poppy petals, which I drew on a tray).

2. Round detalizator) diameter less than 2 cm and brush №2 flat  bristle brush or an old flat with the bad pile (for image midway flower).

3. Brush – or thin liner brush, or №0 №1 (for detail).

4. A glass of water and paper napkins.

5. Paint for painting One stroke, such as the Plaid company (there are in the photo).

6. The palette (I have a piece of paper attached to a regular file), pencil.

7. Printing composition or composition painted by hand.

Brush for painting should be clean and dry. Therefore, the selected brush moistened with water and wipe dry with a cloth.

Next, we start to work with paints. Prepare for painting two red paint. I took one to two shades darker, and even a bit of a different hue to display the depth of the transition paint was beautiful and natural. We print on the two ends of the brush the paint and make the “track” holding a brush on one side, and Durga, look to the paint did not mix around the edges, but only in the middle. Do this on both sides of the brush. The brush should be well impregnated with paint, but the paint layer on the hand must not be thick.

Begin to paint the top of poppy petals. Put the brush so as to paint a brighter tone was on top, dark – bottom. Draw a petal zigzag movements, slightly pressing brush, with a petal edge, must be absolutely smooth. For natural he must be a bit “ragged”.

Also disclosed draw and lower petals. Can one petal close down, and in a few. How do you like the most?

Now we proceed to the middle, flower. For this, we need around detalizator paint yellow and green, as well as a brush bristle №2. On detalizator  paint and also recruited from two sides and then pat done the drawing. The following details in the photo.

Now we proceed to the inner petals of a flower. To do this, take a flat brush smaller. We collect our red paint, which we drew the first pitch, and on the edge of light add another whitewash. Stir well to”track” and draw.

We turn to the most complex element – curved petals. This we do in two steps: draw a petal downward, then gently turn over in the hands of a brush picking up the tab up and down smoothly conduct the edge of the brush is connected to the inner petals. In the picture detail.

If the tab was a bit transparent, for it is possible to go again when the paint dries. It is common practice masters.

Then draw the lower inner petals, as well as we drew top inner stirring white to bright red paint.

Let us the detail of the flower. The White add a drop of red paint. Thin brush gently draws out the internal edges of the flower petals trembling hand movement.

Draw glare thin lines.

Draw pollen.

We add our leaves and poppy will be ready! Leaves are drawn as “ragged” slightly elongated shape. Here, we use those colors, which makes the middle of the poppy. Start with the base of the leaf and brush conducting zigzag tapered gradually leaving on end, we finish the edge of a leaf. After that, Tocoi-liner brush to add flair in the middle of the green.

Our poppy ready! I hope I was able to express in words and pictures of the stages of the emergence of poppies on a light by painting a double stroke! If you have any questions, happy to answer them. I will be glad feedback and suggestions!
